Lacerda Chiropractic Cancellation and No-Show Policy (New Patient Visit)

Effective Date: 3/3/2026
Applies To: New Patient “First Visit” appointment booked online or by phone.

1) New Patient Booking Fee

  • A $47 New Patient Booking Fee is collected at the time of scheduling to reserve your appointment time.
  • This fee helps reduce last-minute cancellations and no-shows so we can keep the schedule available for patients who need care.

2) Cancellation and Reschedule Window

  • You may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice and receive a full refund of the $47 fee (or you may choose to keep it as a credit, see below).
  • Requests made less than 24 hours before your appointment are considered late cancellations.

3) Late Cancellation and No-Show

  • If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, or you do not show up, the $47 Booking Fee is forfeited and is not refunded.
  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may need to reschedule you. In that case, it will be treated as a late cancellation, and the $47 may be forfeited.

4) Credit Option (If You Prefer Credit Instead of Refund)

If you cancel/reschedule with 24+ hours’ notice, you may choose one of the following:

  • Refund back to the original payment method, or
  • Credit the $47 toward a future visit scheduled within 30 days.

(If you want this stricter to avoid “professional reschedulers,” set credit to one-time use only and still require 24+ hours.)

5) Emergency Exception (Limited, Human-Reviewed)

Life happens. If there is a true emergency (example: accident, hospitalization), you can request a one-time exception.

6) How to Cancel or Reschedule

To cancel or reschedule, use any of the following:

  • Reply to your confirmation text or reminder text
  • Call the office: (669) 699-7261
  • Use the reschedule link in your confirmation message (if provided)

Note: Leaving a voicemail does not guarantee a timely cancellation unless it is received 24+ hours before your appointment.

7) Refund Timing

  • Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank/card issuer.

8) Acknowledgement

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to this Cancellation and No-Show Policy.
